Right Hook Fishing Charter is located at the Riviera Beach Marina - just a few minutes north of downtown West Palm Beach and directly across from Singer Island / Palm Beach Shores.

Captain Mike Mercado has a love for fishing and years of experience behind him. With the fastest boat in the marina, your time is not wasted - you'll be fishing within 15 minutes of leaving the dock and will be taken to all the favorite hot spots. The Right Hook charter fishing boat is a custom built 2003, 43' Donelle downeast sportfishing boat. With 23' of deck space and a 14.5' beam, she offers plenty of room to fish. There is a super stable platform for drift fishing, outriggers for trolling and plenty of comfort for overnight swordfish charters. Right Hook is also equipped with a wide array of electronics. There's seating both inside and out, a kitchenette and restroom. The maximum number of people on the boat is six plus a two man crew. A smaller group ensures you will receive the best service possible. Right Hook offers the most comfort to any drift fishing boat in the West Palm Beach area. Types of Fishing Charters

DRIFT FISHING (WestPalmBeach.com Special rate of $69 per person ) Drift fishing is one of the most productive ways to consistently catch fish in the waters off of Palm Beach. Our charter starts with a short 15 minute ride offshore. Every angler has his own fishing rod and gets to experience the thrill of feeling the fish bite. While drift fishing, we will be bottom fishing primarily for snapper, grouper and kingfish, however, many other species are caught in the process including: dolphin, cobia and the occasional sailfish. Drift fishing/bottom fishing is our primary charter, though our charter boat is available for many other types of deep sea charters.

TROLLING Trolling involves pulling lures or rigged dead bait behind the charter boat at different speeds depending on the species of fish being targeted. Our crew always rigs our own baits so you can be assured you will get the best chance at catching the trophy fish you desire. We use top quality tackle and have gear ranging from light to heavy. Whether you are searching for dolphin, sailfish or wahoo, we have everything for you to get the most enjoyment and excitement out of your deep sea fishing experience.

KITE FISHING - LIVE BAIT We offer kite fishing using live bait. The process involves flying a kite with lines attached to clips to keep the live bait just on the surface of the water. There is nothing like watching the live bait dancing on the surface when a sailfish comes up and slams it. Kite fishing is one of the most effective ways to catch sailfish.

SWORDFISH CHARTERS Swordfish are one of the biggest game and most desired gamefish in Florida. Averaging 90 pounds and common over 200 pounds, they are one of the most exciting deep sea fish to catch. Our swordfish charter starts around 6:00 pm and lasts until 2:00 - 3:00 am. It involves traveling about 20 miles offshore and fishing in 1200 - 1700 feet of water. Four rods are used at varying depth with underwater lights and glow sticks. Captain Frank has worked on swordfish longline boats off of the Florida coast and is considered one of the best sword fishermen in the West Palm Beach area.

Testimonials

On our recent trip to Florida, my 2 sons, ages 8 & 11 requested that we go deep sea fishing. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The captain was great not only with my kids, but with my wife & I as well who are as inexperienced at fishing as the boys. We all were taught to fish and left to do on our own or have as much hands on help as each of us wanted. When my 8 yr old became nervous with the rocking motion of the boat, Captain Mike kept him securely braced by the captain's side at the cabin door with a working rod next to the doorway so that he could put his fears aside and join in the action to reel in our 2 largest catches! When our trip was done, the kids were so tired that my youngest son fell asleep before dinner and unfortunately missed out on tasting his catch. When he woke the next day disappointed, Captain Mike arranged for his second catch (which we had left for the crew) to be filleted and available for my son to enjoy the tasting experience the next day. This couldn’t have been a more family friendly fishing experience. We will definitely be making this fishing trip a part of our regular Florida itinerary and I would recommend him to everyone! ~Glenn Davison, New York City

"Captain Mike knows all the hotspots. I've never gone out without catching more fish than I can eat. The marina is so close to home that I usually go out several times a month." ~ Gary Flannigan (Riviera Beach, Florida)

These guys know their stuff. I'm just glad we didn't even have to bait the hooks; otherwise, I'd be spending more time helping my wife with her rig instead of catching fish!" ~ Jim Leary (West Palm Beach, Florida)

These guys are awesome. The crew was great and the boat was clean and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to catch some fish and have some fun. Next time I am down in Florida and I will be looking them up again!! William Chan, New Jersey
