Will Ruths Chris open?

Has anyone heard anything on our Ruths Chris? I am wondering if it is the next business at CityPlace to take down it's opening this fall sign. I looked inside the other day when I was out for a walk, it looks like they are not doing anything in there.

never been, but have only heard good things about ruth chris. it would be a very nice addition to cityplace.

Hello Everyone

I just spoke with someone at the Ruth's Chris corporate office (407) 333-7440, she told me that they anticipate opening on October 29th. It will be great if that turns out to be true, looks like they have quite a ways to go yet.

Just to muddy the waters a bit, I got a response from the CityPlace Guest Services, they say that Ruth's Chris and Panera should both open before the end of the year but don't have any more specific date. Lets hope that Ruth's Chris corporate office is right.

The GM from Ruth's Chris at CityPlace has informed us the projected date for opening will be November 19, 2007. :)

Just spoke to someone at their headquaters and was told that the start date is being pushed back from the previous November date. No date was given.

Thanks for the update. I was just getting my hopes up too. On my recent trips by ( driving ), I have been noticing that they are taking the boards down on the front of the building. I have been meaning to walk over and peek in the windows to see how it is going.
About three weeks ago we walked by at night and saw that the workers had left the side doors open...not that I am being nosey or anything, but I did stick my head into look around...They were in the process of painting but had quite a long way to go.

I've learned never to believe any stated or implied opening dates, from management or anyone else. :rolleyes:

There have been so many "dates" that have come and gone, promises made and abandoned, of many "openings" on Clematis and in CityPlace that I figure, it opens when it opens. I disregard most of the signs, and make jokes about the exact definition of Opening Soon. Most of those signs have been up all year.

I've looked forward to so many new restaurants or other stores, only to be disappointed yet again. Sorry to put a damper on things, but it's just the reality I've faced since moving downtown. :(

Can you believe it, they decide to open up on a day that I will be out of town! Funny. Hey, have you walked by lately, all the covers are off the windows and it looks very cool inside.

Funny you mention that you will be out of town - because right after I responded, I thought, "I should have mentioned make a reservation now if you can!" Oh well, it will probably be a mad house especially opening up 6 days before Christmas. I'm sure with all the excitement and hustle & bustle of holiday shoppers, it will be PACKED!

Just curious as to where you may have seen or heard that Ruth's Crhis is opening on Dec. 19th? I've searched and searched and have not found a thing...not even a phone #. And, the official Ruth's Chris website doesn't show it listed yet when you try and make a reservation.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but as others have learned, the hard way, an "Official Opening Date" means absolutely nothing until they have a C.O. in hand and the doors are truly open for business.

Being in the commercial construction business, we know all too well the hoops that have to be jumped through to get a C.O., it can be rather absurd and as you can imagine, quite frustrating.
