The West Palm Beach Golf Course, formerly known as the West Palm Beach Country Club, was originally established in 1921. It was moved to its present location in 1947, and is an 18-hole, (Par 72) championship Dick Wilson designed course, that was restored by Mark McCumber and Associates in 2009. The tee ranges span between 5023 and 7002 yards with rolling terrain, elevated greens, and a magnificent variety of native landscaping. This unique former PGA Tour site is a proud venue on the Florida Historic Golf Trail of courses open to the public!
The course has hosted a variety of tournaments that have included famous players such as Arnold Palmer. Unlike Florida’s many flat courses, the West Palm Beach Golf Course has an undulating terrain that provides interesting elevation changes. The course features elevated tees and greens and rarely is there a flat lie. The rolling hills are covered with native vegetation, palm trees, and mature pines and oaks. There is also no water to be found on this golf course, a rare occurrence in Palm Beach County, indeed!
