west palm beach restaurants
Avocado Grill
125 Datura Street
West Palm Beach, FL 33401
561.623.0822
Menu
Located just a block west of the Intracoastal in downtown West Palm Beach, the Avocado Grill appears unassuming from the outside and it would be easy to misconstrue it as just another cute sidewalk bistro serving standard American fare. That would be a mistake. The food here is stellar and even their burgers are on a whole other level. Avocado Grill is the go-to brunch choice in downtown West Palm Beach. Get there early.

Blind Monk west palm beach
Blind Monk
410 Evernia Street, #107
West Palm Beach, FL 33401
561.833.3605
Menu
In Manhattan or Paris there’s always that favorite corner wine bar with a constantly changing wine selection and small plates to die for. In West Palm Beach, that place would be the Blind Monk. Their ever evolving wine and craft beer selections are always top notch and their cheeses, Cubano Curado and chicken liver pate are superb. A music producer friend who detests chicken liver pate finished mine and then ordered another.

cafe sapori west palm beach
Cafe Sapori
205 Southern Blvd
West Palm Beach, FL 33405
561.805.7313
Menu
Cafe Sapori serves excellent Northern and Southern Italian cuisine in an upbeat and elegant atmosphere. Upon entering, there is a beautiful mahogany wood and illuminated onyx bar where they serve their signature Saporitini. Standouts include veal meatballs with marinara sauce, linguini with clams, diced tomatoes, garlic and crushed peppers, pappardelle with veal osso buco sauce, and pounded organic NY steak with diced tomato, garlic crispy zucchini and potatoes.

Grato west palm beach
Grato
1901 S. Dixie Highway
West Palm Beach, FL 33401
561.404.1334
Menu
The best way to describe Grato would be if you died and woke up in pizza heaven.  It’s a large Italian restaurant with high industrial ceilings (if you’re looking for a small Brooklyn-style pizzeria, go to Pizza Girls downtown). The wood fired pizza is the reason to come here and it’s wonderful, which is no surprise considering that Grato is a sister restaurant to two of our Palm Beach favorites: Buccan and Imoto. Their Arthur Avenue pizza is a meat-lovers delight (my family is from the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx where they know their pizza).

Kitchen Restaurant west palm beach
Kitchen
319 Belvedere Road
West Palm Beach, FL 33405
561.249.2281
Menu
Chef Matthew Byrne has created a West Palm Beach mecca for foodies. Their site says they create Contemporary American Cuisine, but that bland description does not do justice to the fantastic entrees served here. Standouts include charred filet of beef with garlic spinach, Danish blue and crispy onion rings, “everything” crusted salmon with herbed vegetables and arugula coulis, and pan roasted 2X cut pork chop with chevre whipped potato and apple-ginger jam.

La Sirena west palm beach
La Sirena
6316 S. Dixie Highway
West Palm Beach, FL 33405
561.585.3128
Menu
The most award winning of our Top 10 West Palm Beach restaurants, La Sirena standouts include Scottish salmon, poached in a sauce of tomatoes, capers, onions and white wine, chicken breast pounded thin, stuffed with veal, spinach and cheeses, black truffle sauce, and super porterhouse for two, grilled, rosemary, sage, sea salt, extra virgin olive oil. Their wine list is second to none.

Leila Restaurant west palm beach
Leila Restaurant
120 S. Dixie Highway, #101
West Palm Beach, FL 33401
561.659.7373
Menu
An authentic Middle Eastern restaurant, Leila features beautiful belly dancers combined with the finest Mediterranean cuisine in downtown West Palm Beach. Standouts include tender breast of chicken marinated in fresh garlic and olive oil with a zest of lemon, half rack of Australian Lamb infused with garlic and olive oil seared on a hot grill and finished in the oven, and flame grilled mahi-mahi filet served with a tangy citrus sesame taratoor sauce.

okeechobee steak house
Okeechobee Steak House
2854 Okeechobee Blvd
West Palm Beach, FL 33409
561.683.5151
Menu
Owned and operated by the Lewis Family since 1947, the Okeechobee Steak House is not only the best steak house in Palm Beach County, it also holds the distinction of the being the oldest steak house in the entire state of Florida. The family claims they have developed their own “exclusive aging process for beef, a decades old guarded family secret, that creates a succulent flavor that will leave your taste buds begging for one more bite.” Our staff agrees.

Pipeline Poke West Palm Beach
Pipeline Poke
3310 S. Dixie Hwy #300
West Palm Beach, FL 33401
561.899.3288
Menu
If you like sushi, you’ll love Poké! Pipeline Poké was born from a passion for seafood and a dream to serve real, fresh, quality Hawaiian cuisine in downtown West Palm Beach. In Hawaiian, Poké means “to section, slice, or cut.” Served with chunks of the freshest Tuna or Salmon mixed with rice, quinoa or greens, fresh fruits and vegetables and homemade dressings. Delicious, healthy and absolutely addicting.

Sassafras west palm beach
Sassafras
105 S. Narcissus Avenue, #130
West Palm Beach, FL 33401
561.323.7007
Menu
Sassafras describes their cuisine as “Innovative Southern tradition and conbibiality.” What does conbibiality mean? Who knows, but the bottom line is that Sassafras quickly made a name for themselves after opening their doors in 2019. Their cocktails are superb and the waitstaff is as engaging as the food. Standouts include their $8 Happy Hour burger, pink shrimp with grits and baby back ribs.
