Exposure to adversity is among the strongest risk factors for later development of psychiatric disorders. Dr. Elisabeth Binder, Scientific Director at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry​, will discuss research into how adversity, stress and trauma alter risk for psychiatric disorders, so that we can better prevent lasting consequences and more effectively treat patients.
